JACK’S PLACE for Autism Foundation Renews Partnership with Indian Trails Camp, announces details for JACK’S PLACE Week

JACK’S PLACE for Autism Foundation announced the renewal of their partnership with Indian Trails Camp, and revealed the dates for this year’s JACK’S PLACE Week at Indian Trails Camp. The weeklong summer camp will run between August 6 and August 12 and give individuals on the autism spectrum a camping experience that’s unparalleled.

“We wouldn’t be partnering up with Indian Trails Camp again if we didn’t receive an overwhelming amount of positive feedback from families who took part in previous camping experiences,” said Lisa Price, president and co-founder of JACK’S PLACE for Autism Foundation. “The feedback we’ve received from families is very positive, which is a testament to Indian Trails Camp’s commitment to providing children on the autism spectrum an unforgettable camping experience.”

Campers will stay at the 17-acre Indian Trails Camp that’s west of downtown Grand Rapids. There, the campers will have plenty of activities to participate in, such as fishing, indoor swimming, paddle boating, rock wall climbing, zip lining, biking and much more. In addition, the camp has a sensory-friendly playground and will have concerts at their outdoor amphitheater.

JACK’S PLACE Week at Indian Trails Camp will provide quality staffing and care to assure that everyone at camp is safe and having a good time. The camp hires people who are qualified to care for someone with autism and are well educated on the autism spectrum. The staff is made sure to be caring and energetic, making sure that campers have the best time possible. One-on-one staffing care is also available.

The camp has air conditioned cabins and an on-site medical center. New this year will be half-week options. For campers who can only stay for a short period of time and not the entire week, families can choose to have someone participate in the beginning or the end of the week. Applications are available on Indian Trails Camp’s website.
